The Brief & Obstacles
The Problem:
Tammy’s garden was dominated by an ugly, failing patio laid over a massive, thickly poured concrete base. The elevated terrace sat 600mm above the lower lawn, but the old paving was degrading, and large, unsightly drainage covers completely ruined the aesthetic of the space. It was a huge footprint that was actively dragging down the premium feel of the property.
The Precision Build
The Solution:
Over the course of a few weeks, we executed a massive 100-square-meter transformation. We stripped the failing slabs, prepped the heavy concrete sub-base, and engineered a flawless new surface using Autumn Brown Indian Sandstone. To elevate the high-end feel, we installed custom recessed drain covers to perfectly hide the ugly pipework beneath the stone. To safely support the 600mm elevation, we constructed over 20 linear meters of structural, 3-tier sleeper retaining walls, complete with two large, integrated sandstone steps seamlessly leading down to the lower lawn.
