Step 02 About an hour, at your home. Free.
Design consultation
Chris comes to you. We walk the space, listen to how you want to use it, and look at the things that decide the price.
What you do
Show us round and tell us how you want to use the space. If you can, have everyone who’ll decide there too.
What we handle
- Measuring up and photographing the space
- Checking levels, drainage, ground and access, so there are no surprises later
- Talking ideas through on the spot
- Booking your design call before we leave

BeforeStep 03 A call, at a time that suits you
Design call
There are a lot of options in any garden. We go through them together and shape the design and the price with you, live.
What you do
Talk it through with us. Say what you like, and what you’d change.
What we handle
- Preparing the design, the options and the price before the call
- A concept visual of your space, so you can see the ideas on it before you decide
- Writing it all up: the full specification, what’s included and what isn’t
You come away with Your written proposal the same day: a fixed price, a concept visual and the payment stages.
Step 04 From your yes to the first day on site
Organising
Once you go ahead, the arranging is ours. You make a few choices, and we do the rest.
What you do
Pay the booking deposit, sign the agreement, and choose your materials with us.
What we handle
- A timeline of the build, so you can plan around it
- A second survey to check every measurement before anything is ordered or cut
- Ordering every material
- Booking the machines, the skips and the waste removal
- Briefing everyone who’ll work on your job
- A checklist a week before and a text two days before, so the first morning runs smoothly
You come away with A signed fixed-price agreement with your 14-day right to cancel, a confirmed start date and a timeline of the work.
Step 05 As long as your job needs. You’ll have the timeline.
The build
We protect the area, dig out, build the base and lay the finish, to the specification in your proposal.
What you do
Keep the access clear, and get on with your day.
What we handle
- Protecting your house, paths and lawn
- A tidy site at the end of every working day
- Keeping you updated as we go
- Stopping to show you anything unexpected before we act on it
- Pricing any change in writing before we do it
- Chris managing every part, so you have one person to call
You come away with Your garden, built to the specification you agreed.
Step 06 On the last day, and after
Sign-off and aftercare
We check it ourselves first, then walk it with you. Anything that isn’t right goes on a list, and we put it right.
What you do
Walk the finished job with us, and sign it off when you’re happy.
What we handle
- Our own inspection before you see it
- A snag list for anything that isn’t right, and putting it right
- Part of the final payment held back until every snag is done
- A full clean-down before we go
You come away with A signed completion sheet, your guarantee certificate in writing, and a care guide for your new space.

You pay in stages, never all up front.
- A booking depositWhen you go ahead, to secure your place in the diary.
- Stage paymentsBefore we start, and on bigger jobs at an agreed point during the build.
- The final paymentWhen the job is finished and signed off. If anything is still on the snag list, part of it waits until that’s done.
- Set out in writingThe stages depend on the size of the job, and they’re in your proposal and agreement before you commit.

What happens if something goes wrong, and whether the price will hold, are the two big worries with any building job. Here is what we put in writing.
Fixed price
It doesn’t move if the job takes longer or our costs go up. Only something nobody could have seen, like a buried structure, can change it, and never without your signature.
Ten-year structural guarantee
Ten years on the sub-base, the part that decides whether your paving stays flat.
Two-year workmanship cover
If something we installed fails within two years, we come back and fix it at no charge.
£5m public liability
You and your home are insured from the first day on site to the last.
The guarantee goes with the house if you sell it.
What’s covered, in fullHow long will it take?
It depends on the job, so we don’t guess. Before we start, you get a timeline of the build, with roughly how long we’ll be on site, so you can plan around it.
What do I need to do before you start?
Not much. A week before, we send a short checklist: things like moving the car, clearing the area and sorting access. Two days before, we check in by text to make sure it’s all on track.
Can I change my mind after signing?
Yes. Because the agreement is signed at your home or online, you have 14 days to cancel. We send you the cancellation form with your agreement.
What if you find something unexpected in the ground?
Harder digging or awkward ground is our problem, and the price holds. The only exception is something nobody could have spotted beforehand: a buried structure, seriously unstable ground, or asbestos. If that happens, we stop work in that area, show you photos, explain it in writing, and nothing extra is done or charged until you’ve agreed and signed.
What if I want to change the design halfway through?
That’s fine. We write the change down and price it, and only go ahead once you’ve agreed. Nothing is agreed on a nod.
Who will actually be on site?
Tradespeople we work with regularly, and for some parts specialists we bring in. Chris manages every build and answers for all of it, so you have one person to call.
Will you keep the site tidy?
Yes. The site is left tidy at the end of every working day, and we clean down fully when we finish.
