// Every day
The first thing you see.
You use your drive every day, and everyone who visits sees it first. It should work well and look like it belongs.
Coming home
The first thing you see when you pull up, and the first thing visitors see too.
Room to park
Space for the cars you have, with room to open the doors and unload the shopping.
No puddles by the door
Rain drains away properly, so you’re not stepping round water to get inside.

// Built properly
Built to take the weight.
A drive carries a car every day, so it’s dug deeper and edged stronger than a patio. On this extension in Milton Keynes, the new block paving had to blend with the old.
- Takes the weight
A thicker sub-base, built for what you park. Guaranteed for ten years.
- Drains the right way
Water drains within your property, as the rules for front drives require.
- Edges that hold
Solid edging all the way round, so the surface can’t spread.
- Matches your house
New paving matched as closely as we can to what’s already there.
// Choose your finish
Three finishes, one deep base.
Pick a finish to see it up close. Every one is built on the same deep sub-base, and we’ll help you choose on the design call.
// Your investment
What moves the price.
Every drive is different, so the only honest number is one priced to yours.

“From 1st communication with Chris to completion of the project, we were very impressed. … Chris’ attention to detail was incredible. … The final result is more than we ever could have expected.”
“MT Developments gave a competitive price and probably the best communication pre and post works of any trades company I have dealt with. The guys on site were super nice, worked really fast and cleaned away. … Couldn’t be happier and would be happy to recommend.”
“They redesigned our whole back garden and it’s made a huge difference. Chris listened to what we wanted and showed us 3D drawings so we could see how it would look before the work started. … We now spend so much more time outside … 100% recommend.”
Resin or block paving?
Resin-bound is smooth and comes in lots of stone colours, and it suits a clean, modern frontage. Block paving is very hard-wearing, comes in many patterns, and can be lifted and relaid if a pipe or cable underneath ever needs reaching. We talk through both on the design call.
Can you extend my drive to match what’s there?
Often, yes, depending on what’s still made. We look for the closest match and talk you through it before anything is ordered. On a recent extension in Milton Keynes, the neighbours commented on how the new block work blends with the old.
Will it take the weight of a van?
Tell us what you park and we build for it. A driveway is dug deeper than a patio, with a thicker sub-base, and heavier vehicles need more.
What goes under a driveway?
We dig out, then lay a deeper compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base (crushed stone, laid and compacted in layers), sized for the vehicles that will use it, with solid edging all the way round so the surface can’t spread. It carries our ten-year structural guarantee.
Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?
Not usually, as long as the rainwater is dealt with. A front driveway over five square metres needs permission unless the water drains away within your own property, onto a lawn or border or into a soakaway. We design every front drive to drain that way from the start.
Do I need a dropped kerb?
If you’re making a new entrance onto the road, or widening one, yes. A dropped kerb is approved by the council and usually arranged with them separately. We’ll tell you at the consultation if your drive needs one.
How long does a driveway take?
It depends on the size, the ground and the access, so we don’t guess. Before we start, you get a confirmed window for the work, agreed with you.
Do you take the old drive and the waste away?
Yes. Digging out and taking the waste away is part of the job.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price on your proposal is the price you pay. It only changes if you change the design, or if we uncover something nobody could have seen beforehand, like a buried structure. Either way, nothing changes until you’ve agreed it in writing.
