// PROJECT DETAILS
// THE BRIEF
Old concrete that needed a refresh.
Tammy's garden was dominated by a failing patio laid over a thick, poured concrete base. The raised terrace sat 600mm above the lower lawn, but the old paving was breaking up, and large drainage covers cut right across the space. It was a big footprint that was dragging down the feel of the property.

Same angle. Same crop.
// THE SOULTUON
What we changed.
Over a few weeks we reworked the full 80-square-metre terrace. We stripped the failing slabs, prepared the concrete sub-base and laid a new surface in Autumn Brown Indian sandstone. To keep the finish clean, we fitted recessed drain covers that hide the pipework beneath the stone. To safely support the 600mm height, we built over 20 linear metres of three-tier sleeper retaining walls, with two large integrated sandstone steps leading down to the lower lawn.

// WHAT CLIENTS SAY
MT Developments are amazing. They redesigned our whole back garden and it's made a huge difference. Chris listened to what we wanted and showed us 3D drawings so we could see how it would look before the work started. The new layout makes the garden feel much bigger and easier to maintain. The team worked hard, kept the place tidy and were always very polite. We now spend so much more time outside, just in time for the next heatwave. 100% recommend.
